Bespoke 90th Birthday Illustration

Re‑Launching My Shop: Powered by Tea, Chaos, and Custom Illustrations

There’s something magical about that first custom order after a break.
It’s like the universe gently taps you on the shoulder and says,
“Right then… back to work you go.”
And honestly? I couldn’t be happier about it.

This lovely order landed in my inbox just as I was getting myself back up and running, and it reminded me exactly why I do what I do. There’s nothing quite like creating a bespoke illustration for someone, the back‑and‑forth, the tiny details, the “can we just tweak this one little thing?”

But here’s the part no one warns you about . . . once you start creating again, suddenly you realise you have approximately 4,000 designs that all need uploading, organising, tagging, resizing, and generally herding like unruly sheep. I swear I’ve spent more time staring at loading bars this week than I have at actual humans. Every time I upload one design, another ten pop up behind it like, “Hi, remember us? We also exist. Please give us titles.” It’s like digital whack‑a‑mole!

But honestly — I’m loving it. There’s something strangely satisfying about watching my little shop fill up again, piece by piece. Each design feels like a tiny part of my creative brain being dusted off and put back on display. And this first custom order?
It’s the one that reminded me how much I adore bringing someone’s idea to life.

I’ll pop a picture of it below so you can see the piece that started this whole whirlwind of uploading, organising, and caffeinating. Here’s to many more custom orders, many more late‑night design sessions, and hopefully… slightly fewer product uploads.
